Library Resources

The Punta Gorda Public Library is a branch of the Charlotte County Library System.  The combined library collection, containing over 253,000 items, is accessible with a current library card.

On the shelves in Punta Gorda you will find popular fiction, non-fiction and biographies for all ages, reference materials, magazines and newspapers, videos and audio books. In addition, a small collection of paperbacks and jigsaw puzzles are loaned on the honor system without a library card.

From any internet connection you may access the Charlotte County library catalog, search research databases, renew and reserve items and check your library record.

Public internet terminals are available to cardholders with a limit of two 60 minute sessions per day.  The library is also an internet hot spot for laptops equipped with a wireless card.

Available special services include reference assistance, interlibrary loan, library programs for all ages, meeting room reservations, and a public copy machine.
